First Presbyterian Church

It’s that time of year: The First Presbyterian Church of Verona will hold a fish and chips dinner on Friday, October 26.

For $15 per person, you get and a choice of fish or chicken, plus French fries, cole slaw, a cold beverage, and coffee and dessert. The meals will be once again prepared by Kearny’s Argyle Restaurant. Sit-down dinners will be served between 6 and 7:30 p.m. A take-out window will be open at 5:30 p.m.

Proceeds of the event will go towards much needed repairs of the church steeple and a weekly “brown bag” lunch program in which a healthy lunch is prepared and delivered to low-income students. Tickets are available at the door or in advance by calling the church office at 973-239-3561.

First Presbyterian is located near the corner of Bloomfield and Fairview avenues. There is a parking lot behind the church.
