For the first time ever, a Verona Hillbillies’ Friday night game has been sponsored by a local business. The October 12 game against Glen Ridge–a 42-19 blowout for the Hillbillies–was sponsored by DeCozen Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, whose principal, Michael Cerino, was recently named president of the Verona Chamber of Commerce. The car dealer even brought models to Doc Goeltz Field for football fans to ogle. The sponsorship is today’s “Verona View”.

“Verona View” is a new daily photo feature from MyVeronaNJ.com that will highlight people, places and events in Verona, N.J. Take a photo with your camera phone, DSLR or anything in between and send it in. MyVeronaNJ.com will feature one reader photo every day. To submit your photo, email it,  or text it to 973-632-4015, or post it to our Facebook page.

  1. That’s what I’m talking about, sponsorships to reduce costs. Let’s get other local businesses involved.
