Verona View: Pink For A Purpose

There’s been a lot of pink on Verona athletes the past few days, from pink laces on cross country runners to pink socks on every football player from the Eagles C team through the Verona High School Hillbillies. It’s all part of the athletes’ community service efforts to raise awareness of breast cancer and funds for research into treatments and cures.

But nowhere, perhaps, was there more pink on more athletes than on Monday night, at the volleyball game between Verona and Cedar Grove. Verona’s girls wore shirts made for the evening by fellow team members Eliza Sniatkowski and Madison Misuro, and they raised money for the Side-Out Foundation. The girls’ effort is today’s “Verona View”.

“Verona View” is a new daily photo feature from MyVeronaNJ.com that will highlight people, places and events in Verona, N.J. Take a photo with your camera phone, DSLR or anything in between and send it in. MyVeronaNJ.com will feature one reader photo every day.
