Scott Chesney is one of the founders of a new non-profit to get people with disabilities into the workplace and it is holding a fundraising gala with New Jersey actor and comedian Joe Piscopo as the headliner. The Raise Hope Foundation event will take place Thursday, October 18, at The Villa at Mountain Lakes, and there are still a handful of tickets left
Tickets $200 per person and $2,000 for a full table, and can be purchased through the Raise Hope Foundation Web site. In addition to Piscopo, the event includes food and cocktails, and performances by comedian Jeff Norris and The Accidentals. There will also be a silent and live auction, comprised of items donated by various local businesses; a list of auction items can be found on the Foundation’s Facebook page.
“Raise Hope’s goal is to get people with disabilities back to work or, for some, into work for the first time,” said Chesney, a nationally known motivational speaker. “This event will allow us to take steps toward achieving that goal on a larger scale, which is something we’re incredibly excited about.”
