Girls Tennis Falls To Glen Ridge

The girls tennis team’s record dropped to 5-7 as they fell to Glen Ridge 4-1 yesterday at Glen Ridge High School. Senior Hillbilly Jackie Noyes continued her winning ways with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Kim Baione. The Ridger’s Kendall Smith topped Ciarra Davison in a close match 7-6, 6-4 and Verona’s Allie Vaccaro fell to Paige Moriarty 6-4, 6-2. The Hillbillies were swept in doubles play.

There is a soccer doubleheader today at Centennial Field. The boys team starts at 4 p.m. and the girls take the field at 7. The tennis team is home against Livingston. On Saturday, the football team is at MKA for a 3 p.m. start, pushed back from 2:30. The cross country is at Darlington County Park in Mahwah in the morning and the VHS Marching Band Festival starts at 5:30 p.m.
