Katherine (Galasso) Carollo passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 18th at the age of 95.

A funeral mass will be offered in St. Francis Xavier Church, Newark, on Friday, September 21 at 10 a.m. Burial will take place in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Katherine was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph, who she was married to for 60 wonderful years, and her siblings Elizabeth,
Viola, Mae, Anthony, Joseph, Gerard, Frank and Vincent.

She is survived by her devoted son, Nicholas Carollo, his wife Olesia “Alice”, grandchildren Joseph and Nicole
who will always consider Grandma the most amazing person in their life, niece Nancy Lupo who Katherine was like a mother to,
sister and great friend Mary, great-grandkids Kathryn and Christopher and David Occhino and Colleen Carollo
who were blessed to have an extra grandmother through marriage.

She was loved and adored by her family, friends and everyone that met her. It was her beautiful smile, positive spirit day in and out, devotion to family and friends who she always put ahead of herself, amazing home cooked meals (especially the cheesecake)
that made her one of a kind. She will always be missed but never forgotten.

Memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
