If you love garage sales, this is your season. If you don’t, you might after you see what’s on for today.
In Verona, there’s a two-day estate and garage sale happening at 1 Whitney Terrace. Head south on Lakeside two streets past Our Lady of the Lake church, and you’ll find it. The hours are Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
But this weekend is also the weekend for the massive annual garage sale that happens in a Cedar Grove neighborhood near the reservoir. The area is known as Ridgewood Acres and you will find everything on its streets from lamps and furniture to videos and video games. What you won’t find is a lot of parking, and as a Verona resident, you should know by now that Cedar Grove police take a dim view of parking in the wrong place.
So to navigate to 60-odd sales in Ridgewood Acres, your best bet is to park along Ridge Road and take a backpack or child’s wagon along to haul your loot away. The fun runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the map below will get you there.
And remember: If you are a Verona resident holding a garage sale in Verona, you can list it for free on our affiliated site, ShopVerona.com. We’ve even built in a link to the garage sale permit form you’ll need to file with the town to do things officially.
