Last season’s show

Since this past Saturday, the Verona High School marching band has been rehearsing its fall 2012 field show almost non-stop. Tonight, Thursday, August 30, you can get a sneak peek at the result of all that hard work.

The Marching Maroon and White is inviting family and friends to Centennial Field to watch the final run through. What is this year’s show? We won’t spoil the secret, but you aren’t likely to think of classical music the same way again after seeing it. The band says spectators should arrive around 8:45 p.m.

The marching band has quite a history of winning awards for its performances. The 2011 Marching Maroon and White took second place at national championships last season and were one of three bands–out of 750–in the USBands circuit to win its Cadets Award of Excellence twice.
