Last year’s drum line, at competition.

On Saturday, August 25 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Verona’s own Marching Maroon and White will run their annual car wash in the Verona High School driveway.

The award-winning marching band, under the direction of Erik Lynch, starts its annual band camp rehearsal week on Saturday with the car wash fundraiser. You can have your car washed by the drum line and color guard from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., or choose trumpets and low brass from 10 to noon. The flutes, clarinets, altos and tenors have the last shift from noon to 2 p.m.

The suggested donation is $5, but the band says all donations are welcome.
