Mr. Louis J. DeVivo, 90, died on Monday, August 13, 2012 at his home in Verona. A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Friday, August 17 at 9:45 a.m. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Born in the Bronx, Mr. DeVivo moved to Verona in 1960. He has a BA in business from Rutgers University and a masters in business administration from NYU.

Mr. DeVivo was a special agent for the IRS for 30 years, retiring in 1970. After he left the IRS, Mr. DeVivo had a private accounting practice and taught accounting at Rutgers University in Newark.

He is the husband of the late Marian DeVivo, the father of Vincent DeVivo (and his wife Brenda), Edward DeVivo (and his wife Judith) and his granddaughters, Jessica and Kelly Gahm.
