Geraldine T. Salvante passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012. Mrs. Salvante, who had lived in Verona for more than 50 years, was 88 at the time of her death.
Her wake will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Avenue in Cedar Grove. The funeral mass will be at 10:45 a.m. at St. Lucy’s Roman Catholic Church, 118 7th Avenue in Newark.
Mrs. Salvante is survived by her daughter, Geraldine Alcaro, and son, Daniel Salvante, and their families. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the National Shrine of St. Gerard at St. Lucy’s, 118 7th Avenue, Newark, NJ 07104. The online condolence book is here.
