When it comes to promoting Verona, some folks take the phrase “beat the drum” very literally.

A group of Verona musicians have written a song about the benefits of living in town, “When You Come to Verona”. They debuted it at the Verona Pool concert featuring Alotta Colada last week, and you can listen to it again in the video below.

Joey and Doreen Arminio wrote the lyrics and Tom Jacobsen wrote the music. All three had a hand in the performance, along with Mike Petronaci, Ron Albanese, Eamonn Ryan, Bob Manley and Gloria Carpenter. The version you are listening to was recorded at Arminio Studios. Here are the lyrics:

“When you come to Verona”

With a lot of love, we found a home
Our friendships grow, ’cause we’re not alone
Our children safe, to follow dreams
Open your eyes see what I see
Everyone of you, is a part of me
Not just a town, the community

When you come to Verona
you are finally coming
When you come to Verona
It’s a place to call your own and you’ll learn
what it means to be a family

The avenue where business thrives,
our history has shaped our lives
What are fathers built, we have carried on
Though times may change our beliefs are strong

When you come to Verona
you are finally coming
When you come to Verona
It’s a place to call your own and you’ll learn
What it means to be a family……..When you come to Verona,
