HBW Students Make Public Service Spot

For the last two years, the Verona Environmental Commission has been trying to get Verona parents to turn off their car engines when they are waiting for their children at schools. They have put up signs and sponsored poster contests to raise awareness of the problems that car exhaust causes for children’s health and the environment.

Now students are getting the message out in a new way. At the end of the school year, students from H.B. Whitehorne Middle School’s Environmental Club helped to make a public service announcement video to get more Veronans to go idle free. You can watch their spot below.
