We’ve just learned that there will be a farewell party this afternoon, Wednesday, June 27, for Jim Thomas. The Verona Public Library director is retiring after 30 years of service to the town. The send-off is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the library and it is open to the public.
Thomas’ retirement was announced earlier this month. No decision has been made yet on who the new library director will be.
