There was touch of Broadway at Mount St. Dominic last month, and Michelle Posner (who knows a thing or two about Broadways) tells us that “Taste of Broadway” is good example of the kind of event that we’ll see more often at the Mount.

The evening took place in the newly renovated Doris M. Byrne Performing Arts Center with a cabaret-style performance by Broadway veterans Andrea Rivette and Lawrence Clayton. The event was sponsored in part by Investors Bank in Cedar Grove. Mount students helped with the performance and got to work with professional sound and lighting designers, stage managers and performers during the concert production, creating a unique educational opportunity.

Mount St. Dominic Academy is a Catholic, college-preparatory school dedicated to empowering young women from a variety of ethnic, religious and economic backgrounds.

Director Darren Gage, MSDA Choir Director Jackie Allworth, Lawrence Clayton, Head of School Sr. Fran Sullivan OP, Andrea Rivette and the master of ceremonies, CBS Meteoroligst John Elliot
