What’s For Sale Near Verona Schools

In the traditional real estate market, this would be the time of year when buyers would rush to find a new house so that their children could settle into a new school come September. While Verona’s real estate market is improving, there are still plenty of single-family homes available within walking distance of the town’s four elementary schools: Brookdale, F.N. Brown, Forest and Laning. (We are not including condominiums, since they tend to not have enough bedrooms for school-age families. But if that is your preferred style of real estate, search our pages for condos or developments like Claridge or Wedgewood.)

In some ways, Verona’s four elementary schools are very similar: They are small buildings with manageable K-4 class sizes. Their performance academically is very similar, too. (Click on the name of each school to be take to the latest report card on it from the New Jersey Department of Education. ) The chief difference, in the past, has been the foreign language offered at each, beginning in first grade. Laning offered French, Brookdale and F.N. Brown offered Spanish, and Forest offered Mandarin. But the school district recently announced that Laning will stop teaching French and switch to Mandarin as well.

Here’s what’s available by Verona elementary school, from lowest priced to highest in each. Listing prices and status were current as of publication, but houses are moving under contract very quickly in Verona now.
