Baseball Tops Boonton, Tennis Sweeps

The Hillbillies baseball team topped Boonton High School 10-1 on Thursday  at Doc Goeltz Field to capture their 11th win of the season.  Senior shortstop Tim Kiernan had two triples and an RBI. Senior outfielder Nick Looney had two hits including a double and an RBI. Luke Sniatkowski had two hits a double and 2 RBIs. Sniatkowski pitched a complete game, giving up just two hits while striking out 11 of Boonton’s Bombers.

The tennis team moved their record to 15-5 by sweeping the Bloomfield Bengals Thursday.  In single matches Matt Tuorto won 6-0, 6-0, Alejandro Diaz won 6-2, 6-1 and Jake Corbett won his match. In doubles Jake Miller/Steven McMickle won 6-0, 6-2 and Matt Brehne/Torsten Kolind took home the win.
