Tennis Advances As Boys Lacrosse Falls

Verona boy’s tennis team moved their record to 9-3 on the season on Wednesday with a four match to one victory over Rutherford High School. In singles, Matt Tuorto and Alejandro Diaz won in straight sets. The doubles teams of Steven McMickle/Jake Miller and Matt Brehne/Dan Sajle won their doubles matches.

The boys’ lacrosse team fell to New Providence 8-4 yesterday at New Providence. Ethan Garsman had three assists and Mike Perri scored two goals. Also scoring for Verona were Chris Lapone and Jed Tremble. The team’s record stands at 3-4.

In Thursday action, the girls’ lacrosse team travels to Madison and the boys’ tennis team is at Columbia.
