Mr. Patrick J. Moriarty, 61, died on Sunday, April 22, 2012 in Glen Ridge. A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona, on Wednesday, April 25 at 10 a.m. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Born in New York City, Mr. Moriarty grew up in Elmwood Park and lived in Wayne for 20 years prior to moving to Verona two years ago. He was a financial analyst for Incent One in Lyndhurst and previously worked for the Bank of New York in New York City.
Mr. Moriarty has a bachelors in business administration from Seton Hall University and his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He was an usher at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Verona and was formerly a basketball coach for the Wayne Recreation League and served as a leader for BSA Troop 108 in Wayne.
He is survived by his children, Patrick J. Moriarty, Jr. (and his wife Colleen), Lauren Moriarty, Matthew Moriarty, Jonathan Moriarty, five brothers, two sisters and 13 nieces and nephews.
