There’s going to be a wall of sound in the auditorium at Verona High School tonight: Wednesday, April 18, is the annual spring performance by the VHS jazz band, Verona Jazz & Beyond.
The band, which is created by audition, plays everything from Big Band Music to soul and funk. It has been proclaimed the best non-professional group ever to perform at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, and has been given superior ratings at festivals all along the East Coast for 22 consecutive years.
The concert, which starts at 7:30 p.m., is free, and it’s a great way to show budding musicians what they will sound like with a bit more practice.
Our family watched the Jazz Band play for the first time. Mr. Morden and the children were amazing! It was wonderful to see the conducter joking and the children smiling. Mr. Morden and the children were relaxed and truly shined their love for music. It was a gift to
watch. Thank You!
