When Ned Denton and Lucas Freschi first played at InsaniTea, the folks at the Montclair tea shop wanted to know what the duo was called. “The Brothers”, they responded.

The Brothers have added a few more musicians from the Verona High School jam club since then–including two ladies–but they will still be billed as The Brothers when they play at InsaniTea again on Saturday, April 21. In addition to Denton (on vocals and ukulele) and Freschi (on vocals and guitar), the band now includes Tyler Curtis (drums), and Kelly DiGeronimo and Maura Cuddihy (more vocals and more). They describe their musical style as “Indie-folk, folk, Americana and indie-rock”.

InsaniTea is located at 570 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, which is west of the Claridge Theater. The doors open at 8:30 p.m., the band goes on at 9 p.m. and there’s a $3 music charge. The rehearsal video below will give you an idea of it all.
