Today, Saturday, April 7, is the opening day parade for the Verona Baseball & Softball League. The parade starts at 10 a.m. at Verona Park and heads east up Bloomfield Avenue to Everett Field. Once there, VBSL will have the traditional first pitch ceremony, with this year’s honorees, Dawn Mulligan and Mike Keating, joining Mayor Frank Sapienza and the Town Council on the diamond.The snack bar will be open and there will be VBSL apparel for sale, a 50/50 and Yankee tickets will be raffled off.
So come on out to Bloomfield Avenue and cheer on your favorite player, your favorite team or just the fun of it all.
