Jennie Cherry of Verona, seen in pink above, will be on stage in Montclair starting Friday in the Union Congregational Church production of “The Trip To Bountiful”. Directed by Kathryn Osborne, the church’s UCC Players will perform from March 16 to 25. Written by Horton Foote, the play is a gently humoristic and emotional drama about an aging woman who wishes to return home in order to find dignity and peace of mind.
“The Trip To Bountiful” will be performed in the Union Congregational Church Assembly Room, located at 176 Cooper Avenue in Montclair. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays March 18 and 25 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are free with a free-will donation of $20 per person.
