Caldwell College will present the Principals of the Gramercy Brass Orchestra at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 25 in the Alumni Theatre.

As the representative chamber group of the larger Gramercy Brass Orchestra of New York, Principals of the Gramercy Brass Orchestra continue the larger group’s mission to present innovative works combining brass and other instruments. Led by founder and music director John Henry Lambert, they will perform classics of the quintet literature including “Sonata” from Die Bankelsangerlieder, “Scherzo” by John Cheetham, and “Three Pieces” by Ludwig Maurer.

The program will also include some original compositions by quintet member and Verona public school music teacher Max Morden, such as “Think and Open Up”, and covers of Beatles classics and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen. The principal quintet is known for its wide variety of repertoire as well as its use of original compositions and arrangements. The program which includes piano, guitar, and vocals on some numbers, will appeal to all ages. A touch of classical, a touch of jazz, a touch of pop, and a touch of humor all make this a not to be missed performance.

General admission is $20. Students and seniors are $15. Parking is free. For more information, call 973-618-3520 or 973-618-3326. You can also buy tickets online.
