Verona-based motivation speaker Scott Chesney is a Seton Hall graduate and The Setonian has a nice piece about how he has helped the university’s basketball team this year. Chesney, a former high school athlete who has been in a wheelchair since age 15, was brought in by Coach Kevin Willard at the start of the season to speak to the team about overcoming adversity. The Pirates have a 15-2 record now, their best start in 20 years.
“Scott reminds all of us of what is possible when you play for each other and you play for someone other than yourself,” Willard said. “It’s the way he looks at life. He always finds the bright side and the positives.”
