Ashley Claims First Place In Track Championships

On Saturday at Toms River, Verona High School freshman Julia Ashley continued her impressive winter track season at the state Group1 Championships with a first place finish in the 800M in a time of 2:19.5. Ashley also took third place in the 400M with a time of 59.9.

Samantha Intili placed fifth in the pole vault with a jump of 8’6″. Heather Sweeney was seventh while breaking her own school record in the 3200M with a 11: 44 performance. Both Ashley and Intili have qualified to compete at the Meet of Champions on Saturday,February 25.
