Another Win For Boys Hoops

Brian Farrell and Anthony Huber combined for 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Hillbillies over Golda Och Academy 44-33 yesterday in Verona. The tough Hillbilly defense held Golda Och to just nine points during the second and third quarters en route to the victory, which was their fifteenth win on the season, against five loses. Sophomore Luke Weiss had seven points in the effort. Next up for the boys is an away game at Glen Ridge High School on Thursday; it’s a 4 p.m. start.

On Saturday the girls’ team fell to the Tornadoes of Orange High School 49-43. Emily Aaron and Julieanne Mascera scored 13 points each. The team’s record fell to 3-10. The girls travel to Newark today for a 4 p.m. start against West Side High School.
