There is a Town Council meeting tonight and it will kick off a series of reviews of the 2012 budget for Verona.
Tonight’s meeting, which will stat at 7 p.m. in the Council room upstairs in Town Hall, will be broad discussion of the overall budget, and a discussion of cost drivers, ratables, revenues and related issues.
On Monday, February 13, 2012, there will be a Council workshop with a presentation of the proposed budgets for the assessor, police and Buildings & Grounds department. On Monday, February 27, there will be a workshop the proposed budgets for Recreation and Community Services, the Municipal Court and Code Enforcement.
On Monday, March 12, the workshop will focus on the capital budget and proposed budget for the Engineering and Public Works departments. All workshops are in addition to the regular Council meetings on February 21, March 5,and March 19 when the budget will be formally introduced, and all meetings are open to the public.
