Eileen and Tom Finn of Verona are serving as co-chairs, as Saint Peter’s Prep in Jersey City prepares for the fifth annual 144 Grand Gala, an annual dinner-dance and auction in support of the school’s Financial Assistance Program. The Finns are the parents of current Prep junior Ryan Finn. Tom is a member of the Class of 1983, following in the footsteps of his father (class of 1958) and grandfather (class of 1928).
The co-chairs, who also include Mary Beth and Jack Caulfield of Caldwell, Jane and Jim Donofrio of West Caldwell, and Paula and Anthony Venditti of Chatham, are working closely with Prep’s advancement staff to ensure the success of the Gala, the school’s largest single fundraising event of the year. From soliciting prize donations for the Gala’s live and silent auctions, to selecting the food and entertainment, the event co-chairs play an instrumental role in creating an elegant evening for more than 400 guests expected to attend when the Gala celebrates its fifth anniversary at the Westin Jersey City Newport, on April 21.
“The outstanding generosity of our alumni, parents and friends has made the 144 Grand Gala a tremendous success over the past four years,” said Chris Casazza, ’97, Prep’s chief advancement officer, who oversees the school’s fundraising efforts, including the Gala. “With this dedicated group of co-chairs on board, our fifth Gala is on track to be our best
yet.”
