While it may seem early, it’s time to register for nursery school for the fall. And if you have a child who turned two recently, this is good news. This year, the MyVeronaNJ.com team has made it even easier for prospective families to find the right school for their child. We’ve created a Nursery School Guide, which you can access here. It gives you questions to ask and points to consider when looking for a nursery school, along with a page where you can take notes during school tours and open houses.
In speaking with the directors of the nursery schools in Verona, the programs and staff at each school are all going strong and continuing much in the same way they did for the 2011-2012 school year. A notable change for the 2012-2013 school year is that Robin’s Nest Two is now a peanut-free school. Also scheduled for this season are some open houses.
Our Lady of the Lake Preschool has open houses scheduled for January 22, 30 and 31.
Weekday Nursery School has an open house scheduled for February 8.
If you cannot make an open house, or if the school you are interested in doesn’t have one scheduled, call the school and arrange an individual tour. The names and phone numbers are also listed below for your ease of searching.
- Our Lady of the Lake: (973)-239-1160;
- Community Montessori Academy: (973) 239-3999;
- Verona Weekday Nursery: (973) 857-9504;

My daughter attended Executive Kids – she was very happy while there. The instructors were great and very loving. Wonder why they are not on the list?
The Nursery School Guide that we link to from the home page is a sponsored guide. All of the schools in our area were approached to advertise in it, but not all did.
