Sr. Grace Margaret Haggart, O.P. died on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the St. Catherine Healthcare Center in Caldwell. She was 83.
A funeral mass will be offered in St. Catherine of Siena Convent Chapel, 7 Ryerson Avenue, Caldwell on the campus of Mount Saint Dominic Academy on Friday, January 20 at 10 a.m. Visiting at St. Catherine Convent, Caldwell on Thursday 3 to 7 p.m.
Sr. Grace Margaret was born in Jersey City, entered the Dominican Sisters of Caldwell on August 30, 1948 and professed her vows on April 22, 1950. Sister has a BA in Social Studies from Caldwell College.
Sr. Grace Margaret was an elementary school teacher at St. Ann School in Newark, Blessed Sacrament School in Bridgeport, Conn., St. Mary School in Rahway, St. Teresa School in Kenilworth, Our Lady of the Lake School in Verona, St. Joseph School in West Orange, St. Aloysius School in Caldwell, St. John School in Jersey City and St. Elizabeth School in Linden. She also served as principal at St. John School in Jersey City from 1989 to 1995.
Sr. Grace Margaret is survived by her brothers Daniel E. Haggart and James R. Haggart.
