Seminar On Language-Based Learning Disorders

Children Having Individual Learning Differences (C.H.I.L.D.) is holding a free workshop, “Central Auditory Processing and Language-Based Learning Disorders: Your Questions Answered!” on January 24. Jeanne Tighe, a speech and language therapist, is the presenter. Tighe has focused the past five years on working with children with language-based learning disabilities, specializing in reading and writing skills. She is a Wilson Reading Level 1 Certified Teacher, and is also trained in the Orton-Gillingham philosophy and Lindamood Bell Programs. The workshop will be held at the Verona Community Center’s Fireman’s Room at 7 p.m. The Community Center is located at 800 Bloomfield Avenue.
