If you are coming to the Verona Board of Education meeting tonight, plan on showing up a little bit early. The jazz band from H.B. Whitehorne Middle School will be providing some pre-meeting entertainment starting at 7:45 p.m.
Tonight’s meeting should also include a BOE decision on whether or not Verona’s public schools will be open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. At the last meeting, Board members discussed the possibility of holding school on Monday, January 16, as a way of banking a day that could be used if we have another snow storm. Verona’s public schools used all of their three allotted snow days in the wake of Halloween weekend snowstorm.
If you can’t make tonight’s meeting, the next BOE meeting is on January 24. All meetings take place in the Media Center room at Verona High School.
