The Adult Diabetes Support Group and The Community Church of Cedar Grove will be holding a “Culinary Therapy” program presented by Chef Cardie Mortimer on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Chef Cardie, of Verona, has been a professionally trained culinary chef for over 30 years in addition to having been a professional actor, comedian, producer, director, teacher and former executive for the Walt Disney Company. All who are present will have the enjoyment of seeing this menu prepared and will also receive a tasting sample and recipes.
The Program will be held at Community Church of Cedar Grove, 65 Bowden Road, at 7 p.m. A $5 donation will be requested at admission, with all donations contributed to the American Diabetes Association. Please call 973-239-3875 to register to ensure ample food will be prepared for all attendees.
The Adult Diabetes Support Group meets on the first Monday of each month at Community Church at 7 p.m. and is facilitated by Joan W. Giordano, advanced practice nurse and certified diabetes educator. All interested members of the community and surrounding area are invited to attend. There is no charge.
