Shoes collected this fall for SolesFor Jesus at the First Presbyterian Church recently arrived in Mozambique. People stood on line for two days to get one of the over 500 pairs of sturdy shoes donated by the Verona community. The shoes filled 27 boxes and weighed over 600 pounds. The new footwear not only protects feet, but also defends against parasite-born infections.

Pastor Erik Spencer of First Presbyterian Church, Verona thanked the many members of the community who donated new and used shoes. “We are extremely grateful to the West Essex community for their compassion and generosity” he said.
