Verona Lacrosse, a program for children in grades K through 8, has opened registration for its spring season.
Children in grades K, 1 and 2 are taught the sport in a clinic format on Saturday afternoons from mid-April through early June. Third and fourth graders have separate girls and boys teams that typically play eight to 10 modified games against teams from nearby towns, and practice about twice a week. For those in grades 5 through 8, there are competitive travel teams that typically play 12 to 14 games and practice two or three times a week. Early registrants can participate in an indoor winter practice session in Montclair.
Fees are on a sliding scale by age and range from $70 for the youngest players to $210 for the oldest. There is a family discount if there are three or more players in a household.
To register, visit the Verona Lacrosse Web site. You can pay online with a Visa or MasterCard. For more information, call Rudy Frizzi at 973-571-1982.
