The Essex County Environmental Center will hold its annual Green Holiday Gift Fair this Saturday, December 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A variety of local vendors and local artisans will be selling sustainable and alternative gifts that are eco-friendly and made of recyclable materials. Some of the items for sale include paper goods, natural herbal body products, clothing, glass jewelry, reusable bags, home decorating goods, salsa and jelly, soap, candles and cleaning products. While the adults shop, the Environmental Center staff will keep the kids busy with a variety of craft making activities. In addition, there will be a workshop to help participants build entries for the County’s 2011 Sustainable Homes and Habitats Gingerbread Contest from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Environmental Center is located at 621B Eagle Rock Avenue in Roseland, just off exit 4B on Route 280.
