The Verona High School Paws ‘N Claws club, overseen by biology teacher Roseanne Prendergast and student run by Laura Williams, a junior, recently held a towel and blanket drive. Students donated over 150 towels, blankets, washcloths and pillows that will be brought to the Bloomfield Animal Shelter by physical education teacher Christopher DeMond, who has volunteered at the shelter numerous times this past year. Although the towel and blanket drive at the school has ended, the Bloomfield Animal Shelter will still accept such donations of more towels, pillow cases and pet supplies.

The club will be hosting a table at the Fair in the Square on Saturday, December 3 and invites everyone to stop by. There will be winter pet care facts, coloring pages for children, and animal facts and statistics.
