If your family hasn’t already joined the pet explosion in Verona, you may be facing a lot of pressure right now. Like someone in your household drafting a letter to Santa asking for a puppy.
If you are thinking about a puppy or kitten, but don’t know how to find the right one for your family, you might want to take a trip to the Javits Center in Manhattan today and tomorrow for “Meet The Breeds“. The show, created by the American Kennel Club and the International Cat Association, will let you get to know 160 breeds of dogs and 50 breeds of cats. It could be a great place to demonstrate that a Basenji’s bark is too piercing for suburbia and that a Black Russian Terrier will not fit in the back seat of a Honda Civic.
“Meet The Breeds” runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12. In addition to the many breeds on display, there will be a host of vendors and demonstrations of agility, obedience and dogs in law enforcement.
