Vendors, community organizations and entertainers will once again lift holiday spirits at the Verona Fair in the Square on Saturday, December 3 from noon to 5 p.m. in the center of town.

Fair in the Square has become a tradition in Verona, and coordinators are organizing participation from many organizations to perform, create crafts, play games, sell holiday ornaments and transport Santa for the holiday tree lighting at 4:30 p.m.

Fairgoers will be entertained by Polka Dot, strolling stilts walkers, fire-eating characters and puppeteers. This year’s sponsors include Elite Pain Management, the Verona-Cedar Grove Times, Hillcrest Farms, Verona UNICO and Canterbury at Cedar Grove. Many returning crafters and several new vendors have registered to sell jewelry, children’s toys, specialty knits, t shirts and more.

The event organizers welcome back a performance of holiday music by the Verona High School Vocal Jazz Ensemble directed by Judy Szybist and the Verona-Cedar Grove Chorus, directed by Denise Bastanza. Also returning are the popular ice sculpture demonstration sponsored by Hillcrest Farms, the Moonwalk bouncy sponsored by Verona UNICO, face painting sponsored by Canterbury at Cedar Grove, and more. Find updates to the schedule of activities on the Verona Fair in the Square Facebook page.

Crafters, businesses and organizations interested in having a table at the Fair in the Square should contact Diana Vitrano at 973 857-1467 x15. In the event of inclement weather, the fair will be held on Sunday, December 4.
