Veteran-Owned Subway On NBC Nightly News

On Veterans Day, NBC Nightly News ran a piece on growing efforts to establish and promote veteran-owned businesses. The cameras stopped–all too briefly–at Don Johnston’s Subway sandwich franchise at the intersection of Bloomfield and Pompton Avenues. Johnston, you might remember, is a U.S. army veteran who served in Iraq who was so impressed by the Subway outposts set up for the troops that he decided to make one his own. Johnston appears and three-quarters of the way through the clip below.
