The Eagles BJV White team rolled to a 25-12 victory over Caldwell, improving their record to 5-2. Coach Frungillo opened up the offense in building a 25-0 halftime lead, and then called off the dogs in the second half.

Matt Frungillo scored first for the Eagles, following blocks from Michael Johnson, Matt Aldiero, and Brendan Wallace, for a 6-0 lead.

Frung would strike again, only this time from the other side of the line of scrimmage. He stepped in front of a Chiefs pass and raced 30 yards the other direction for the score and a 12-0 Eagles lead.

Next it was quarterback Nick Giuliano’s turn to find the end-zone. After faking a hand-off, Giuliano got a great block from Jack Gautieri – who led the way across the goal line. Chris Sabo tacked on the extra point by running it in and it was 19-0 Eagles.

The final touchdown was scored by Gautieri, who got great blocks from Frungillo and Alan Stoloff. Gautieri’s score made it 25-0 and it was only the first half!

Defensively, Wallace, Michael Carsillo, and Anthony Zamloot played well.

The second half saw Caldwell score two late TDs to make the final score 25-12.

In other action last Saturday, the A Varsity beat Caldwell 14-6, while the A JV team lost to Caldwell 21-6. The B Varsity beat Caldwell 20-6, the B JV Maroon team beat its Caldwell opponent 22-7, and the C teams, which all faced Caldwell teams, all came up winners. The D team fell to Montville and is 3-4-1 on the season.
