The Verona Marching Maroon and White participated in the New Jersey State Marching Band Championships on Saturday, November 5, in Union. With an outstanding score of 96.725 they placed second in the state.
The band was also awarded The New Cadets Award of Excellence for a Marching Band. The US Scholastic Band Association (USSBA) and The Cadets recognize one band for achievement in effect, creativity and pursuit of excellence. Verona’s Marching Maroon and White, under the direction of Erik Lynch, heads next to the USSBA National Championship, which will take place in Allentown on Saturday November 12.
