The Verona High School football game against Weequahic that was snowed out on Saturday has been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 1 at 3 p.m. UPDATE: Hillbillies game moved to Millburn High School field at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Today’s boys varsity soccer game against Science High School has been cancelled. But as of now, the North Jersey Section 1, Group 1, playoff game scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday at Centennial Field is still on. Verona has No. 1 seeding in the bracket and will host No. 16 seed Butler (1-14-2). UPDATE: Boys playoff has been postponed to Wednesday. The second playoff will be Friday, also at Centennial. UPDATE AGAIN: Boys playoff will now be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Millburn High School. No word on Friday’s game.
The state playoff for the girls soccer team (9-7), which was to have been held tonight, has been changed to tomorrow night at 6 p.m. in New Milford. The Verona girls are seeded No. 9 in the North Jersey Section 1, Group 1, playoff bracket. New Milford is the No. 8 seed.
