On Thursday, October 20, Brookdale Avenue students were visited by a volunteer from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Along with their physical education teacher, Rob Hill, they spoke about type 1 and type 2 diabetes and the importance of healthy eating and exercise for all children. Brookdale students will be participating in a “Walk to Cure Diabetes” fundraiser on Thursday, November 3.
