VFD Teaches Fire Safety At OLL

The Verona Fire Department, Engine 11 visited Our Lady of the Lake School and Tuesday, October 18, to teach the preschool about fire safety. Firefighter Matt Antotino spoke to the class, accompanied by firefighters Rick Neale, Vin Salvatore, Larry Burdett, Jerry DeYoung. They went over Stop, Drop, and Roll; having a meeting place in case of a fire and general fire safety. The children were made deputy firefighters then allowed to sit in the cab of the engine where the firefighters ride to fires. OLL thanked the VFD and says it was a “super day for the preschoolers”.
