In volleyball, a “dig” is when a player makes a save out of a hard-driven ball from the other team. It’s a pretty good metaphor for what needs to be done for patients faced with a diagnosis of breast cancer.

To raise money and support for breast cancer awareness, the JV and varsity volleyball teams from Verona and Cedar Grove high schools will face each other this Thursday night, October 13. The rivals will play at VHS, and will accept donations for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer research foundation at the door. The JV game starts at 5:30 p.m.; varsity will play at 7 p.m. Spectators are encouraged to wear pink.
