The Verona High School Hillbillies take on Newark Academy today at 2 p.m. in Newark. But tomorrow, Saturday, October 8, they will tackle a far different challenge: Raising money for breast cancer research. The team will be at King’s Supermarket from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The guys, who wore pink ankle wraps in their games against Glen Ridge last week, will be bagging groceries for donations, and selling team gear outside. There’s also a 50/50. All proceeds go to breast cancer research.

Kings is located at 300 Pompton Avenue, in the Pilgrim Shopping Center.
