We don’t usually ask you to read our competitors, but there’s a good reason to click on over to The Star Ledger now. The paper has put up a poll to vote for the Essex County Player of the Week, and the Hillbillies Frank Greco. The junior running back had a stellar game against Glen Ridge this past weekend (photo below), including a 35-yard touchdown run. In the poll, he’s up against D.J. Hamker, West Essex  and Stephaun Marshall of Montclair, both of whom were leading Greco this afternoon.

The Ledger, which doles out honors from its sports writers in addition to the fan poll, doesn’t say when it is closing the poll. So as they say in Chicago, vote early, vote often.

The poll is at the bottom of this page.
