Verona High School seniors Filip Babalievsky, Patrick Sullivan and Heather Sweeney have been named semi-finalists in the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program. The 16,000 semi-finalists nationwide are the highest scoring entrants in each state and represent less than 1% of the 1.5 million students who took the PSAT as juniors. These semi-finalists are the only participants who qualify to continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships to be awarded in the spring of 2012.
